This is the AVSREMOTETX4043010, a dedicated replacement case and button set for the original AVS TX4-04 waterproof remote used exclusively with the AVS 3010 series alarm systems (including the 3010, 3010+, and 3010 Keyless Entry models). It provides a cost-effective way to renew or replace a worn, damaged, or lost remote for your existing 3010 alarm, restoring full keyless entry and control.

Core Function & Important Notes:

• Replacement/Repair Part: This is a replacement shell/electronics unit. It must be coded to your existing 3010 alarm system by following the programming procedure; it will not work straight out of the box.

• Critical Compatibility: This part is NOT interchangeable with the standard AVSREMOTETX404 remote used on other AVS alarm ranges. Using the wrong remote will result in no function.

• Alternative Use for Older Systems: It can also serve as a replacement for the older "surfboard" style remote used on early 3010 and some 5000 model alarms. Note: If replacing a surfboard remote, the Horn (Panic) and Boot Release buttons on this new remote will have no function, as the original system did not support those features.

Programming Instructions (Must Be Followed Precisely):

1. Arm, then disarm the alarm using an existing remote or your PIN code, then open and close a door.

2. Within 30 seconds, enter your system's PIN code by turning the ignition key from OFF to ON and back to OFF repeatedly (e.g., 5 times for the factory default PIN of '5').

3. Wait 20 seconds. If the PIN was correct, the vehicle's indicators will flash five times, indicating the system is in "code learn mode."

4. Press the LOCK button on the new remote. The alarm will chirp once to confirm it has been learned. You must re-code ALL remotes you wish to use at this time, as entering programming mode deletes all previously stored remotes from memory. You can code up to three remotes.

5. The system will exit programming mode after three remotes are coded or after 20 seconds of inactivity.

6. Test all remotes to ensure they operate the alarm correctly.
