The EDS 2-Channel Passive Line Output Converter (LOC) is a compact, versatile adapter that enables you to connect an aftermarket amplifier to a factory (OEM) stereo system. It safely converts high-power speaker-level signals into low-level RCA signals that your amplifier can accept, and includes a built-in signal-sensing remote turn-on circuit to automatically power up your amp with the radio.

  • Essential for OEM Integration: Allows you to add an aftermarket amplifier to a vehicle's factory head unit that lacks dedicated RCA pre-amp outputs, unlocking the potential for more power and better sound without replacing the source unit.

  • Compact & Adjustable Design: One of the smallest LOCs available, it features independent gain adjustment dials for each channel (Left and Right), allowing you to precisely match the input level to your amplifier and prevent distortion.

  • Built-In Amplifier Turn-On: Incorporates a 12V signal-sensing remote turn-on circuit (Blue wire). It detects when the factory radio turns on and automatically sends a remote signal to turn on your aftermarket amplifier, eliminating the need to find a separate ignition-switched wire.

  • High Power Handling: Rated for up to 80 watts maximum per channel (40W RMS) from the speaker inputs, making it suitable for most factory and aftermarket source units.

  • Noise Reduction Feature: Includes a dedicated reference ground wire (Brown) to combat ground loop noise (whine/hiss) if it occurs, ensuring a cleaner audio signal.

Wiring Guide:

  • Red: Connect to a constant +12V Battery source (for the signal-sense circuit).

  • Black: Connect to a solid Chassis Ground.

  • Blue: Connect to the Remote Turn-On terminal on your amplifier.

  • White / White-Black: Connect to Left Front Speaker (+ and -) wires.

  • Gray / Gray-Black: Connect to Right Front Speaker (+ and -) wires.

  • Brown (Optional): Connect to the ground terminal on your amplifier if noise is present.
