This amplified subwoofer harness adapter is designed for 2003-2012 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles equipped with a base factory amplified sound system (excluding Sony/THX systems). It includes an 8-pin harness with two pairs of RCA jacks specifically to retain the factory subwoofer(s) when installing an aftermarket radio. This adapter is intended for use in conjunction with the main power and speaker harness (such as the Metra 70-5520), providing the necessary low-level signal outputs to integrate the OEM subwoofer into your new audio setup.
