This 14MHz FM band expander is a compact, tube-style adapter designed for Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Suzuki vehicles from approximately 2006/2007 onward. It allows your factory radio, tuned for European/Japanese FM bands, to receive the full Australian FM spectrum by applying a 14MHz frequency shift. The unit features the correct factory-specific antenna plugs, providing a complete plug-and-play solution without the need for additional adapters. Installation is simple and discreet behind the dashboard.

How It Works & Important Notes:

  • Frequency Shift: The expander subtracts 14MHz. To listen to a station (e.g., 98.7 FM), you must tune your radio to 84.7.

  • Display Unchanged: Your radio's display will show the dialed frequency, not the actual broadcast frequency. Manual calculation is required.

  • AM Unaffected: AM radio reception remains unchanged.

  • Potential Overlap: Very strong local stations within the radio's original limited range (e.g., 87.5-90 MHz) may still be heard if there is no station broadcasting 14MHz higher.
